6 years late and then get fired for lateness.

by manny
(nyc)

i used to work at a hospital which i was late for 6 years and now they fired me for lateness. but a couple of months they made me sing a letter saying if i was late they were going to fire me however there are more partys that are late as well how can i determine my case.?

Hi Manny,

You might investigate provable arguments such as employer condoning the misconduct .. but since they did finally manage to document by having you sign a letter .. that might be weak because clearly they let you know they had had enough, but if others continued to get away with it you might be better off arguing and PROVING that the employer did not uniformly enforce the policy.

Go to the New York Interpretation Index to get a fix on what may work for you.
