the reason for attendance and missing so much work due to being on a shift i was moved to by my employer not by choice is children and yes i clrearly stated to my employer and they understand that children or family in general is why the present shift just does not work out. and i am afraid if i get fired i will be denied unemployment because they are trying to downsize(budget for profit) anyway.

Michelle,

Precedent decisions regarding shift changes and childcare issues can vary from state to state.

Read the Ohio legal abstracts and see if there's anything that you are failing to do to ensure you might be able to receive unemployment benefits.
