Being laid-off and working for part-time now, can I still collect unemployment benefit?

I was laid-off and working on part-time now, can I still collect NYS unemployment benefit?

Yes, you would still be entitled to partial benefits if after you report wages and NYS performs their magical formula there is benefits left to collect.

You can see the formula if you use the resource linked to on this page. You will need to look for Table 3-8.

And if you can tell me what it means .. please do.
Because I don't get it.
