benefit denied appeals

by shay
(philadelphia pa US)

I have a hearing scheduled very soon. I just wanted to know how to get the referee to understand that I was fired for providing a peer reference for a past employee, which was against a rule violation in out employee hand book. This is a rescheduled hearing since I could not appear at the first due to a job interview. Do you think i still have a chance. I have been without benefits for over 10 weeks.

Hi Shay,

I hope you understand that's not a lot to go on for me to help you.

But if you were aware of the rule, I guess you might try the approach that the rule isn't very reasonable because it couldn't have caused harm to your employer's interest in any way.
