The State of California Unemployment

If you need unemployment benefits in California or any other state for that matter, these days, you might have more cause for concern than usual about collecting unemployment.

It does seem there's nothing like a broke unemployment fund to push a state to the boundaries of the rules of what is fair. (Find California Unemployment Statistics here.)

If you check the statistic of Recipiency Rates at the link above for just California from 2007 to date in 2011, you'll see there may be cause for alarm.

Our ability to collect unemployment benefits is straight forward only, when the job separation was caused by a layoff .. which is a lack of work. The rest, quitting a job or getting fired and all that happens after a person starts to collect is wide open to being interpreted incorrectly ..
