came out of prison worked for ten months in colorado layed off am I elgible

by RJ
(Denver, CO)

worked for ten months after being released from prison and then was layed off am I elgible for unemployment benefits?

Hi RJ,

If you give me the dates you started work and the date you were laid off .. I can estimate if I think you will be "monetarily eligible". That's the problem I can't resolve for you.

A layoff is normally a qualifying reason to get benefits because you lost your job for a "lack of work", but they also require everyone to have minimal earnings in at two quarter of your base period which is established relative to the quarter you apply in.

Give me the dates and I'll be able to answer.

Chris
