It's not impossible in Florida, if you have been paying UI tax on your wages, but just so you know .. the business needs to be closed to avoid A&A issues.

unemployment benefits when I close my business?
by: Anonymous

I am closing my business after 5 yrs. the end of April. Can i collect unemployment, or maybe collect on my last job before i opened my business?

Hi, I would need to know the name of your state so I could check the "USDOL chartbook coverage".

Or, you could just copy and paste what's in quotations and check that chartbook out for yourself.
