Can ex-military servicemembers get unemployment more than one time?

by Anonymous
(North Carolina)

After getting off Active Duty Military Service, I got unemployment benefits for six months. My reserve unit was activated in 2007, and my active duty orders will end tomorrow. Everyone else getting off orders will get unemployment benefits if they choose to. Am I eligible for unemployment benefits even though this will be the second time I will be getting them?

Hi,

I don't know much about UCX which is unemployment for ex-servicemembers but this page at the DOL
leads me to believe you can.

Your previous benefit year is long gone if you were activated in 07. The state you file in acts as the agent for the federal government which is where the benefits come from. It also says everything is decided under the agent states laws.
