Can I collect unemployement if I have been late for a time sensitive task that must be completed on time?

by Kiru
(NC)

I was 1.5 hr late for a specific task(injection of an animal)that must have been completed on time; but I signed it as if it was on time because I thought it won't affect that much.

Kiru,

It depends on what the employer can prove, but I going to beg to differ with you in that you weren't fired for being late for a time sensitive task, but for being late and then signing it fraudulently. Even if it you didn't think it would affect anything much...the act was dishonest and intentional and could have or even may have caused harm to the employer.
