can i get unemployment when fired from job with doctors note?

(Allentown,Pa)

I live in pa. I fell outside my house and broke my shoulder. I had to have surgery and a plate put in. My doctor wrote a note for 4 weeks saying no work. I talked to my employer and told them my situation. I've been at my job for only 10 months and don't qualify for fmla. I was asked to come into work today and they gave me a note and fired me because I can't do my work and they can't offer me anything that I can do with my limits. Can I file for unemployment since I've been fired from my job?

Thank you.

Hi,

Yes you can. That is a discharge and not for misconduct.

You are eligible to receive unemployment.
