Can I look for work in another state while on unemployment?

...would I just tell my current state where I was
going, and contact my future state's unemployment office, and then keep the same job search log going, but in another state?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

My first bit of advice is to make sure the state you are collecting from doesn't have a locality provision that could potentially have some restrictions you should be aware of.

Secondly, if you are moving so you can look for work in another state. Either contact or go to your states website to find out how you can change your address and they usually require you to register for work in the new state and follow the new states job search requirements .. they are all different .. it's wise to check before making a move.
