Can you receive unemployement for being administratively discharged from the military after 4 months of service?

by David
(Indiana)

I have been in the AirForce for 4 months, I had a health related issue and was administratively discharged..Am i still elligible for unemployment benefits my home residence is in Indiana.

Hi David,

I can't really say because an administrative discharge after 4 months of service could also be because you didn't reveal a health condition which may have factored into being inducted into the Air Force.

It would also depend on whether you worked prior to entering the air force .. just to satisfy "monetary" eligibility requirements.

In other words .. not enough information for me to even assess the possibility.

Yes I have worked for a long time prior to the military. I did not have this condition prior to enlisting in the military. It seemed to have just developed. It's called a medical erronious discharge so its not a dishonorable discharge or anything I just didnt know if i would be eligible for unemployment for basically getting let go from the military seems as it would be like getting let go from any other job.
