(Michigan )

I filed an unemployment claim on 6/15/09 They said I should get something in the mail by 6/29/09 I did not hear anything I called they said it was going to take 5-7 more days if I do not hear anything by the next call to marvin to call them back My next call is 7/13/09 by then I have 4 weeks to be paid How long do they have to give me an answer on weather a claim is approved or denied.

Hi Theresa,

I think they have 30 days, but unemployment departments are very busy and it seems everyone is waiting. Just continue to file and give them another call.
