for cash register coming up short first time 100.00

by tina
(fort worth, TX)

i been working for this company for 2 years when i got hired they made everbody sign a paper stating that if you come up 50 short you could be fired. first time never been wrote up on anything else i feel like they didnt give me another chance cause i hurt my self at work and won that case and they cut my hours from 40 plus to 30 i file for unemployment and won then 2 weeks after that they said i came up short 100.00 can i get unemployment

Hi Tina,

Well, I don't know .. did you come up $100 short or did they just say you did?

It could be argued that the rule is unreasonable and that the cash shortage was an inadvertent mistake and not intentional misconduct because it's only happened once in two years.

Well, fight it Tina .. and expect to go all the way to hearing .. so prepare and use the TX precedent manual to do so.
