Frugal Fruit Slush

by April

Happy 4th of July everyone! With summer upon us and the heat being a factor for almost all of us, there seems to be nothing that hits the spot like a nice and cold refreshing drink.

Here's a quick and simple frosty beverage that will definitely quench the thirst and delight the palette! Relatively inexpensive and frugal for the budget and the kids should love it. Adults too, just add a little rum to it and you have a delicious drink for your backyard holiday party!

Frosty's Fruit Slush

2 c. frozen peach slices
2 (5 1/2oz.) cans apricot or peach nectar
1 (6-oz.) can frozen orange juice, thawed
2 liters lemon-lime soda, chilled
Ice Cube Trays

In a blender, combine the peaches, nectar and orange juice. Cover and process until smooth. Pour into ice cube trays and freeze for 3-4 hours or until firm. Remove from freezer 30 minutes before serving, place ice cubes into each glass. Add soda and stir to dissolve cubes.

If making an adult drink, add your rum and ENJOY!
