having to work out of state and wife is going to divorce me because she lives in another state

My family lives in fl and because of lack of work there i had to get a job in nc to survive and my wife and kids still live in fl and now my wife is threatening to get a divorce because of me working out of state

Are you serious!! You can't really be basing your decision of whether to quit or end up divorced on if you can get benefits or not if you quit .. can you??
