how long do I need to work in colorado to be eligible for unemployment

(Colorado)

I just received word 4 days ago that I may be getting laid off from my work. I've been there since April 2009 how much time is required to work at the same job before one is able to collect unemployment?

Hi,

It is not necessarily the same job, although in Colorado you would hope it would be .. because they remove wage credits for any disqualifying separation in your base period.

It is the wages in a base period that first determine monetary eligibility .. be it from one or more employers.

The base period is the first 4 of the last five completed quarters and most states require wages in at least two of those quarters.

The monetary requirements and formulas are linked to on this page.
