Unemployed Stories

Hurt on job..terminated...denied UI

by Patricia
(Biloxi,MS)

I was injured at work, admitted to the hospital, placed on personal leave, and then termed when I was released to light duty. My employer stated..Left employment for health reasons. Unemployment denied? What the heck?

Patricia,

What the heck is right!! Gather up your medical documentation and appeal. Submit the documentation to show that you were released to light duty and the employer refused to put you back to work.

Gotta watch the unemployment department nowadays .. because there are some very questionable determinations being issued .. probably in hopes that the claimants will follow course and not appeal ..
