I need to reschedule my appeal date. I will be more than 50 miles away. Is a phone interview ok

I will be more than 50 miles away for a job interview the date of my appeal. is that going to be a problem if I notify ED

It shouldn't be a problem .. CA considers a job interview for a claimant as good cause for postponement or .. phone participation if you follow the appeal instructions and make your request I always faxed a request first and then followed up with a call .. just be sure you can handle the phone call in procedures and that it won't interfere with your interview.

I guess I'm saying .. if you can handle it financially .. postpone to get another in person hearing .. because claimants tend to do better when they are in person.
