I was forced to resign or be fired

I worked for four years at a company. I was presented a situation that consisted of either being fired or resigning. I signed a letter of resignation so that they would write a positive letter of recommendation. Can I collect unemployment under those circumstances?



Maybe, if you can explain away the bonehead move of signing a letter of resignation which most like does not contain the real circumstances of your separation.
