I'm afraid I'll be fired for not meeting my sales goals - Massachusetts

by Jenni
(MA)

The retail market has been down consistently for the past few months, and as a wholesale sales representative I am not meeting my sales goals. In my contract, my employer has the right to fire me if I don't meet my sales goals 3 months consecutively.
I am worried this may happen due to the relative volatility in the market, will I be able to apply for unemployment?

Hi Jenni,

Oh, please do. Did you happen to read the title for any of the questions I get here.

Salespeople are shown no mercy. It's like there's a big game of musical salespeople going on everywhere. Fire one. Hire one.

Like someone said the other day in their question.

It's the economy, DUMMY!!

Massachusetts? I have very high positive hopes that you will get unemployment.
