Is it safe to say I have been approved for UI?

by tony
(pa)

I filed for UI over 3 weeks ago (Jan 7th), I received the paperwork to fill out, filled it out and sent it back 10 days ago. Now I haven't received a letter in the mail telling me that I have been approved, however the debit card I received when I first opened my claim had funds deposited in it today.

Hi Tony,

I would never tell you it's safe to assume until you have the piece of paper that says you are being allowed benefits in your hand, but money on the debit card makes me lean toward a positive answer and you should be receiving the determination shortly.

Quite frankly, Three weeks seems a little fast nowadays, but if you were laid off then it might be understandable.
