moving to canada from nj

I'm thinking of moving to Canada to follow my girlfriend ... I'm getting unemployment benefits right now. Can I still collect while settling in and looking for a job in Canada...while I'm in Canada?

I don't know the answer. I do know that the United States does have some sort of treaty with Canada with regard to unemployment, but that's all.

I suggest you call the State of NJ and ask the question.
