Not safe at work

by verna haley
(New York)

I was held at gunpoint at my place of employment. i am scared to go back to work, there are no panic buttons, can i quit my job because of this? I have panic attacks now.

Verna,

I guess the first question would be to ask if the employer has offered any help to you with regard to your panic attacks or safety concerns.

I hope I have assumed correctly that you are located in New York .. because I'm directing you to their interpretive index of unemployment issues.

If you can't find anything that might be relative to your situation .. ask me .. I'll try to help you find something, but please take the time to look into the different issues that are listed.
