Payback unemplyoment money because I went to school full tiime?

by Jeff
(Lombard, illinois)

I have been receiving unemployment benefits since May, and the whole time I've been a full time student, but this January they stopped my unemployoment because I'm a full time student. I told them that i was a full time student from the beginning of this process, my question is after my hearing if I lose will I have to pay back the money since I was a student the whole time? thank you.

Hi Jeff,

All I can do is direct you to the information I know deals specifically with "overpayments".

This is precisely, why I say "be careful" until I can barely stand the sound of my own voice .. because this is an entirely avoidable situation.

Click 2009 then "Overpayments"
