Free Protection Insurance Against At Will Employment Job Loss

Do you carry some sort of real job loss protection insurance policy in case your at will employer decides to fight your unemployment benefits?

Probably not, and if you do .. have you read the fine print of such a policy?

It's basically worthless unless you can prove you lost your job through no fault of your own.

Yup, even private insurance forces you back to the unemployment benefits system set up in this country .. and that insurance is paid for by employers and we all know that employers often object to paying anything, but the going rate for whatever type of labor you're hired to do.

The Best Protection Insurance You Can Have As An Employee

It's the ability to adjust your attention and your attitude as need to comply with how the employer want you to perform your job. But when things turn south in a blink of an eye .. it's your ability to find the courage to react with knowledge of your employee rights in mind.

If you read enough unemployment stories you'll find most people think they have the first part nailed.

However, when things go wrong and they try to explain why it wasn't their fault .. they can only talk the talk because they didn't walk the walk required of employees that sort of turns the ignition to activate their rights as an employee.

And this can have an affect on the booby prize of losing your job through no fault of your own .. unemployment benefits.

This all about why any question that being with "Can my employer .." or "Is it legal for my employer to .." begs the question about what you did while you were still employed .. or what you're able to prove now that you're no longer employed.

We Americans are lucky to enjoy the freedoms we have, yet we are reluctant and fearful to invoke the rights and/or the strategies we could use that offers us the free protection insurance we have against wrong minded business entities playing off our ignorance and fear of losing a job.

Respect and standards of reasonable expectations is a two way street in the employee/employer relationship.

This is the bottom line from my perspective ..

The at will employment relationship is a business relationship and there is no hope of having a productive workplace when the employer rules are arbitrarily enforced or when employees are treated as resources ..

Business has disconnected itself from the human element needed to make a business thrive both through productivity and consumerism and sometimes, that department is called Human Resources.
