An FTC Disclosure Is Required So You Know How I Support This Website

This page is to satisfy my own remaining doubts after reading the FTC rules.

Better safe than sorry is an old adage for a reason.

You're about to learn how Chris, personally earns money from a website about unemployment benefits.

How I Make Money From Unemployment-tips.com

My intent for this website was always to earn money .. not to just become a do-gooder answering free questions about getting unemployment till the day I died.

I couldn't afford to be so generous as I came from a working class family and I'm still a working class women.

But I completely understood the concept of being able to become self employed with a website by adding value with free content .. which in turn might prompt a website visitor to find the product or a service that adds even more value for both the website visitor and myself .. which would of course be the earnings I can choose to spend anyway I like.

It's usually for groceries and utility bills.

There's lots of different methods to monetize a website without compromising your integrity by intentionally misleading anyone needing help with your special "niche".

Revenue From Google Adsense

Okay, I know I don't have control over what ads Google serves on my website, but adsense is literally what I think of when I read the term "passive income".

The first time I earned money this way .. it was just over a dollar and caused me to act like an excited child all evening long .. right up until the party pooper became annoyed with the squeals.

I turned the computer off and said "Goodnight Honey".

Today, he gets more excited to see that check (it's grown over time) in the mailbox than I do!!

But as I've also learned .. you should never put all your golden eggs into just one basket. The name of the internet business game should be .. diversify your income stream .. as long as you can do it honestly and to provide an honest to goodness value.

I use two others means besides adsense.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is like being an independent sales rep for other people's products or services per their terms and conditions.

I don't do much affiliate marketing primarily because my niche of how to get unemployment benefits isn't really relevant to what other people offer as products or services .. Hello ....

I knew I could have included related affiliate links while I was writing about getting unemployment or even have plastered banner ads all over the place, but if I myself find this distracting and annoying .. I had to ask .. what about you.

Currently, I have affiliate links in various places for two companies.

I see either added value relevant to employment or because I use, love and believe in the product.

Find a Lawyer - LegalMatch LegalMatch

Need an Employment Lawyer? The additional value is obvious to me, but I do try to explain why a lawyer isn't the only or the best solution for unemployment hearings .. unless your state requires one. The rest is your call.

SBI or Site Build It! This is my favorite, because it's not only what I used to build, and host my domain unemployment-tips.com, but was basically my online school for learning how to build a website that actually does earn money.

And I have links to SBI in a lot of places (including this page) for those with the initiative to investigate for themselves what makes me think so highly of the company. Can't find a job? Check it out after you're done sending your resume out for the day. I did .. and I'm happy I did.

Referral/Finder Fees

Referrals to qualified unemployment hearing representatives was the next logical step if I wanted to hold true to my plan and my belief that hearings go better when a rep is in charge of case presentation.

Finding hearing reps for employers was a big part of my job as a hearing coordinator and it was the easiest part .. despite the need to cold call attorneys sometimes. Lawyers and law firms actually sent hearing coordinators gifts to gain entrance.

Guess what, they don't send gifts anymore. Not when they can see who I'm trying to help nowadays.

I'm proud of this hearing rep referral program.

I've worked very hard to find and develop relationships with reps I know are qualified to represent either side at hearings, but have a desire to bring their skills to the unemployed.

I am not without further expectations which also benefit both you and me.

You are to receive the best possible efforts of the rep at your hearing and I'm supposed to get paid IF they accept your case.

This isn't your problem at all .. this is mine. However, please don't yell at me if I contact you by phone to see what happened after you spoke with a rep. I'm performing "quality assurance" duties.

For the cases that are accepted, I receive a small percentage of the fee you pay. Who says you can't earn a living from a website full of free information .. It's certainly, not me.

To further earn the money I make ..

I also provide my time and phone number to those that use that email I send after they fill out a referral form.

Just in case you want to talk to someone and ask questions without feeling rushed or want to feel more at ease with this whole process.

This is what I do to earn the money.

I work for you by being here and keeping you my priority.
