texas

I quit my job in January because my father passed away and my mother has dementia. Due to the fact that my mother's doctor has a not so good staff, I barely got a letter on Aug 20 to use as notice for my UI filing. Will I be able to collect unemployment? I was denied the first time, even though I got the letter from the doctor. And do I have a chance of getting UI benefits if I keep appealing?

Hi Eligio,

What was the reason given for the denial of benefits and were you entitled to FMLA?
