These are the comments that drive me on!! Keep those insults coming!!

These are the comments that drive me on!! Keep those insults coming!!

I thought I'd put an example of the type of comments from employers I receive for doing what it is I do.

I realize a certain element may disagree with me .. but really, I wonder sometimes about the amount of venom and pure hatred sometimes

I usually find these very hateful comments buried in a comment and merely delete them. But this one stood out as a over the top example of pure hatred towards me.

Chris- ur a horrible person

Chris- I'm an employer and I was reading a few of your responses. All I have to say is that your a lousy excuse for a human being!! Some of the claims seemed questionable, others however were an"absolutely not"- the way your teaching these fools how to "beat the system" is disgusting. Why don't you tell these idiots to wise up, get off their lazy asses and find a job. It's people like you that weigh down business owners and bleed the system. You suck- I hope you get a bad case of the shits- to hell with you.

What can I say .. except ..

I wonder if this person talks to his/her employees the same way, or do they just reserve smack talk for strangers they've never met and totally disagree with?

And to think, I use to have to serve people like this with a smile in my voice.

The world is full of morons .. and the members of the group come from both sides of the employment relationship.

But this I know for certain .. even when I do come down on an unemployed person and explain why I don't think they can collect .. they rarely become vicious.

re comments from the employer
by: Randy Vaughan

Hi, Chris....

I'd like to remind this cretin that employment is absolutely nothing more than a legalistic endeavor, period, end of discussion. He/she wrote: "Why don't you tell these idiots to wise up, get off their lazy asses and find a job. It's people like you that weigh down business owners and bleed the system." The only appropriate response is the obvious: "If you don't like that unemployment laws exist in this country, sell your business, go to work for someone else, or retire and enjoy the rest of your life. Whatever you do, just shut the hell up! So what that there are indeed people who try to 'beat the system'. What do you think you spend your every waking moment doing? Or are you going to tell me that you're different from one of my past employers who posed to me this question: 'Randy, why should I pay a man a dime if he'll work for a nickel?' My response? 'You shouldn't. But to hell with you if you think you'll get more than a nickle's worth of work out of him.'"

Chris, every negative thing I've learned in life I learned from my employers. For example, you don't get in trouble for lying, only for lying badly. And one need only give a cursory glance at the "economic" news for the last few years to see that the problems that exist between employer and employer are not the fault of working men and women, but rather the employers themselves. (They in turn, of course, love to blame things like government regulation, etc., stuff for a later rant, perhaps. Just think "sweat-shops" and the birth of "unions" and it's easy to see why government intervened into the private sector to begin with.)

"Employer" is the reason Johnny Paycheck sang "Take this job and shove it, I ain't workin' here no more." And you can bet the farm that this pathetic, self-absorbed man or woman *never* talks to his employers this way. Yes, no doubt this is exactly how he *treats* them in terms of pay, benefits, working conditions. But *never* in those words. If so, sooner or later will come along a someone who will become just one more news item regarding "workplace violence". And this "employer" typifies the reason such violence exists in the first place. Chris, you're a much more decent person than I am. This "employer" is, quite frankly, a dumbass.

Keep doing what you're doing, Chris. Yeah, there are always those trying to "beat the system". So what? It ain't like the "system" is fair or doesn't exist to beat the living hell out of working men and women.

Be well.

Poor Excuse for an Employer!
by: Anonymous

This person has some nerve! I feel pity for the employees that are working under this creep! What a jerk, if it wasn't for you and your site I would have never been able to have the courage and knowledge to stand up to the system and fight for what was rightfully mine! You keep doing what you are doing and keep helping those that are in need...Karma is an awful thing and well, what can I say?? He will get his!

wow.....
by: Heather in Cali

You can tell this employer, for me that I hope he or she gets a case of herpes.....ha ha. What an idiot. Get off our asses and get a job? I would love to have a job....too bad I can't find one. And furthermore, in many of these cases it is the unethical and pathetic employers screwing people and that is why people need your help. You are wonderful Chris. Don't worry about this jerk...karma comes back around eventually!

Really?!? Wow!!!
by: April

Hi Chris,
I have to respond to the letter that you received from an obvious deviant of an employer: He/She says ("I'm an employer and I was reading a few of your responses. All I have to say is that your a lousy excuse for a human being!!") Excuse me??? Where does he get off on judging you?? And just by that comment alone he/she is really a lousy excuse for a human being!!! He/she further goes on to say that ("some of the claims seemed questionable, others however were an"absolutely not"-) Again, I have to wonder to myself, what kind of business is this guy running and does he know the entire book on the laws for each and every state concerning what is allowable for UI benefits?? And then of course the comment of ("the way your teaching these fools how to "beat the system" is disgusting. Why don't you tell these idiots to wise up, get off their lazy asses and find a job. It's people like you that weigh down business owners and bleed the system.") Are you kidding me??? He doesn't find a way to beat the system everyday with his tax breaks for the employer, the write offs and the lousy wages that I am sure that someone of this mentality tries to pay his employees???

And then the final comment of his/her letter ("You suck I hope you get a bad case of the shits- to hell with you.") This kind of talk to another human being is insane!!! This is why there is so much violence and ignorance in this country today...people such as this person believes that they are actually in the right to behave and talk to another human being like they are worthless.

All I can say is keep doing what you are doing, there will always and forever, as long as there is a "system" to beat, there will always be those that choose to "try and beat it" period.

You are educating people to know what their rights are within the parameters of the law! I don't think for a minute that you are a lousy excuse for a human being...quite frankly that "employer" seems to be and you might want to suggest to him/her that they seek counseling for their very apparent anger issue!

Questioning Ignorance
by: Heather

The more I think about this I have to wonder. What was this employer even doing on your site in the first place? Through deductive reasoning and making the best educated guess possible, I have to conclude that he or she was searching for information on how to argue/fight against a former employee who was trying to get Unemployment. This leaves me to also believe that he/she was looking to beat the system, the same thing he accuses users of your site of. If the employer has a legitimate reason for terminating someone or a legitimate stand with regard to disallowing a former employees Unemployment, why the need to search. What a tool!

On another note, as previously mentioned by another poster, there are people who are sometimes trying to work the system. We see that will all Government benefits from Welfare to Social Security. Ethically, however, you cannot deny the deserving individuals because of the actions of a few.

To be fair to employers
by: Chris - Unemployment-tips

I have to take this opportunity to be fair to employers.

They aren't all ogre's .. although if I were to relay what my instincts are telling me about this guy (since I happen to know under which title he posted this comment he/she exists on the dark side .. of everything.

But, just today, I received another comment from an employer that finally had to close his business and asked me a question about collecting.

Their response to me was quite the opposite.

I KNOW not all employers are bad just like I know all employees denied benefits were actually bad emloyees ..

Just because I prefer to earn a living focusing what I know to unemployment claimants doesn't mean I am anti-employer .. it means that amongst all employees, are also the people my heart gravitates towards.

By the way Heather, you used of my favorite four letter words!

You can read his comment here.
