What if my employer doesn't deny or respond to the claim?

by E
(California)

My old office doesn't have the best track record when it comes to submitting things on time. I'm worried that my claim will be denied because my paperwork got lost on my old bosses desk. What if my employer doesn't deny or respond to the claim? Do I automatically qualify for benefits?

Hi E,

No, not necessarily. If your employer doesn't respond the claim determination will be made on the "available information" they do get .. and that would be from you.

You would be approved for benefits, unless you provided information that is deemed to be disqualifying.
