what is the maxium I could collect in unemployment benefits in New York?

(New York Unemployment Benefits)

What is the most I could collect in unemployment benefits in New York, assuming I'm entitled to collect benefits?

Hi,

The maximum weekly unemployment benefit in New York is $405 a week. I honestly have no memory of any increase to that amount .. it's been right at that amount for a long time.

To get the max benefits, you must have no less than $10,517 in wages in your high quarter and at least $15,776 in your base period.

All the qualifying formulas for unemployment can be found here at the DOLETA.

A quick rule of thumb is to figure out about what you earned every three months and divide by 26 and that will bring you close to what your weekly benefit amount will be.
