I filed for edd benifits won the claim and now my ex boss is appealing.. do I have to go to a hearing if i get hired for a new job?

Yes, you should go .. unless you want to lose by default. If that happens, the next thing you'll receive is an overpayment notice in the mail telling you to repay what you did get.

the letter says i only have to refund anything paid after the date of the appeal , and i have not recieved any money so i assume i would not owe anything because no money was sent after that date .I wouldnt need any edd benefits and that what he is fighting that i do not continue recieving edd?

If that's what it says .. then that's what it says and I won't argue about what you think you have read

Although, I will say, that makes absolutely, no sense because a reversal of benefits always stops the benefits after the hearing and you only have to repay what you received up until that point.
