I am currently working 2nd shift and have been missing work do to my children being at home alone. They are 15 and 12 and play sports. There are days when I have to take or pick them up do to not finding any one to help. Now I feel like my job is in jeopordy do to me missing work.

And it probably is in jeopardy and due to the reasons you stated above for missing work .. unemployment benefits are not likely.
