Can I receive Unemployment Benefits since I retired?

by Tony

(Fayette, MS USA)

Hi I have been unemployed since August 2009. I had a financial problem (high debt) so I resigned so I could get help. I couldn’t even get a loan from a bank. I didn’t want to quit. I am not working and I don’t have no income. Is there any help I can get till I get another job. So what I’m asking is, can I get unemployment benefits. I have been filing a claim since December 2009. Help

Hi,

I can’t help. You quit the job for personal reasons not attributable to the employer in any way.
