continue to receive CA UI if I re-locate to Il?

by CA to IL

(California)

Hi,
I am currently receiving CA UI benefits. I am considering a move to Il to look for work there. This is not necessarily a permanent move but if work is found, it is not out of the question either. Will I continue to be eligible to receive UI from CA? What is required of me to maintain my benefits?

Hi,

Read the able and available sections of the CA UI guide. That is what you need to understand to do what you want to do.

CA does not have any “locality provisions” (page 23) as far as I know .. that would prevent you from moving.
