Do I file a new claim or reinstate the old claim?

by Eli

(PA)

I was laid-off from a job in July, filed for unemployment and received it. I found another job and started in November, I have now been laid-off from that job. Will UEC just reinstate the old claim or will it be a new claim?

Hi Eli,

You got it. Claims last a year .. even if the max regular benefits are only 26 weeks. Extensions will extend that year unless there is a lapse between benefit claim years.
