Draft Decision Rejected in Illinois

by alan

(chicago)

My case is this;

Granted initial benefits
Denied at referee hearing
Appealed to Board of Review

Terminated for being unable to complete a non mandatory assignment, tried my best but was unable to complete. No willful misconduct.

I called IDES who said a week ago that my record reads “rejected draft decision”

What does that mean?

Does the board overturn a small or substantial number of referee decisions historically?

Thanks..

Hi,

I have absolutely no idea what that means, but as long as they didn’t say your appeal was rejected .. I don’t think I would be too alarmed, just extremely curious.

Historically, reversals by the board are not what I’d call common.

Remands for new hearings or the taking of additional information are more common.

And Affirmations by the board of a hearing decision are most common.
