Finally my husband has been called back to work after a year!

by Teresa

(Iowa)

So when does he stop claiming unemployment insurance? Does he wait until he has received his first paycheck or does he stop on the day he is hired back? There is always a two week delay for the first new paycheck. The first paycheck will probably be for a partial week, then second one will be a full weeks check. Thanks

Hi Teresa,

He stops claiming when he returns to work.

By the way, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

So as soon as he is hired back, he stops his claims the same week. Thanks so much for your help! I wanted to be sure. Your site is great! Keep up the good work. Thanks again, Teresa
