I was just terminated last Thursday for “lack of performance” with no warnings (written or verbal) and 2 satisfactory PRs in past 2 years (last one only 2 months ago making me eligible for a great bonus). I’m almost 100% sure it was just because my boss didn’t like me and I had expressed interest in interviewing for a different position further irritating her. I’ve never been on unemployment before but filed on Friday. What % chances do you give me given I was fired?
Very possible that they could deny you initially, but since the last performance review was good and there were not warnings to let you know you had better shape up or your job was in jeopardy a very winnable case.
You can use the employer’s rules and progressive discipline policy as documentation.
