I lied on employment application – Florida

by Jackie

(Tallahassee, FL)

I lied on my application for employment on 2/25/09 and was just fired today, 4/20/09

Hi Jackie,

That would be a falsification of employment application and more than likely will be found to be good cause for your termination.

An application usually has some sort of clause in small print that states if you give false information and it is found later that you did this .. you could be terminated.

It’s pretty tough to prove a lie was not intentional. An employer uses the information you give to make hiring decisions. They do and should be able to expect the information is truthful.
