is quitting a job because of verbal abuse a good cause?

by wanda

(tempe, texas)

i just wanted to know if i quit my job because of verbal abuse, is that good cause?
my manager didn’t do anything about another employee verbally abusing me so i quit. i was denied my benefts, but i am appealing.
state of texas

Good cause consists of two things .. first the very reason you quit and then whether you can prove the efforts you made to get the employer to adjust or eliminate the problem you were having with the work. Sometimes you won’t have to make any efforts, if you can prove that it would have been futile .. but don’t count on that.
