I’ve been denied unemployment and have appealed. If I go back to school while waiting for the hearing will they give me benefits

I was denied unemployment in Missouri and I am waiting for an appeal court date, I was wondering if I go back to school will they give me my unemployment benefits?

Hi,

The following is copied and pasted from information provided by the ETA’s comparison of state UI laws for Missouri

Yes, ineligible if there is a
significant restriction on availability.
Some part-time students may be
eligible. Does not apply to WIA,
Trade Act, and mass layoff students.

Hope this helps, but be aware .. just checking the box when asked “did you attend any school or training raises a flag and the state will investigate your ability and availability for work. It’s another issue.
