My hours are being cut from 40 to 32 hours a week in Florida, do I qualify for unemployment of the lost 8 hours?

Here’s a way you can check for yourself…since I don’t know how much you earn.

Click on Monetary and then go to page 17 This chartbook is for 2008 because the DOL hasn’t updated for 2009, but it can give you an idea of what it takes to collect partial unemployment benefits in any state.
