needing to take time off due to a non-work-related injury

I recently injured my foot quite badly while taking a shower a few days ago. I immediately called my boss and informed her of my injury, and told her I was going to the hospital to get it checked out. she did not make any indications that she might fire me for this. I recieved the results from my xray and was told to stay off my foot for a couple of days. I informed my employer this right after I had been informed. I have now learned she has hired someone to replace me, after missing 2 days of work due to my injury.

Hi,

Did she inform you? Or are you taking someone else’s word for it?

Go back to work with your doctor’s note. If you are fired at that time .. file for unemployment.
