Question about a job at a college and if I’m eligible for unemployment benefits.

I worked the scoreboard while I was going to school at college, I have graduated so I had to quit the job as I was no longer going to college, am I eligible to file for unemployment benefits.

Hi JW,

Most states exclude student workers for educational institutions from covered employment. By this, I mean they don’t have to pay unemployment taxes on what you earned so you wouldn’t be eligible if you were being paid by the school.
