Refusing a job while collecting unemployment

by Pat

(Oklahoma City, OK)

I was fired from a company and currently receive unemployment insurance. The company has asked me to come back to work for 7000 dollars less, if I refuse, will I loose my unemployment benefits?

Hi,
Refusal of “suitable work” is always what someone needs to consider but you didn’t give any details about why you were fired.

Only that you have been offered a job for 7000 less and I don’t know if it is the same or similar to the job you were fired from?

Here’s Oklahoma’s precedent manual so you can research the answer for yourself
