Waiting for company to acknowledge seperation?

Hello I was let go from my job 23 days ago, I filed for UI. However I have not received anything as far as an approval of benefits. I called my UI (Pennsylvania) office today and they said they are waiting on my former employer to acknowledge my seperation with them.

I was wondering if you know of any timetable on how long they have to acknowledge this?

Hi,

15 days. They have fifteen days in Pennsylvania from the date the “notice of claim filed” is mailed to respond.

So, if it’s been 23 days .. either the department didn’t get the notice out right away .. or there is no reason to be waiting unless the employer did respond and the department has given the employer some more time to respond to questions or provide “documentation”.
