What if you accept a job and then decide to turn it down?

What if you accept a job and then decide to turn it down while currently on unemployment? If you haven’t filled out your I-9 or W-4, can the particular company report it and then you are suddenly denied? Oklahoma

Well, I don’t think that’s quite how it works, but they could if they wanted to. It raises the issue of “refusal of suitable work”.

Employer are required to report “new hires”, but I don’t know what they do if they never hired you because you refused the work.

I suppose it would matter what kind of employer you refused .. such as a temp to hire position ??

That would cause a problem for the temp agency .. so I suppose they would let the UI department know.
