When an employer forces you to quit

by KIM

(ORLANDO)

My husband’s business partner and boss, cut his salary in half this past summer. He kept leading him to believe he would get it back in Oct. The month came and went and in January, my husband asked if he would ever be getting his salary back, the boss/partner said “NO” so my husband quit, so he could go find a job that would pay the bills. We have pay stubs to prove this and some emails. Does filling for unemployment look bad to future employers?

Hi Kim,

I don’t know how a future employer would know you’ve filed for unemployment .. unless you told them.
