As a Realtor am I entitled to unemployment?

by cris
(miami, fl, dade)

Hi,
I am/was a Realtor, I cannot find any other work.....am I able to collect unemployment?
Thank you

Hi Cris,

Real Estate agents on commission is an excluded employment from UI coverage in nearly every state.

There's a chartbook at the USDOL which provides this information in table 1-5 so you can verify for yourself.

The chartbooks are updated once a year. Here's the main page by year.

State Law information by year.

I like this resource because it provides a quick and condensed overview for all fifty states on a number of unemployment issues.
